Looking for a great place to grab great espresso coffee in Whangarei?
Why not head down to 116 Bank Street and visit Ants at the Luna Espresso Bar!
This funky little cafe opened earlier this year in the entrance of Whangarei’s Arts and Community Events Hub.
New Zealand prides itself on its espresso coffee culture and Ants provides options for even the most discerning caffeine connoisseur, whether you’re a short black fan or want to try a turmeric latte!
Ants sources his coffee from local Northland Roasters Tohorā Coffee.
Based in the old whaling town of Russell in the Bay of Islands, Tohorā Coffee Co is a family-run boutique roaster. They supply fresh batch roasted coffee to cafes, restaurants, BnB’s and kitchens throughout Northland.
Tohorā Coffee Co help local community projects and environment conservation programmes by donating 5% of their profits back to the community.
This community space is run entirely on volunteer time and energy! Every week it is used by artists, theatre companies and groups from around the country. ONEONESIX provides a space for aspiring artists and performers young and old to gain experience and be exposed to the community. It even has its own local radio station “Beagle Radio” which you can listen to on 88.1FM.
